Pokemon Presale Card Prices: All 15 Singles Fell

"The 30th Celebration figures topping and tailing our movers board are preorder marks rather than prices, because the set does not release until September 16 of 2026". Card Talk ran that on August 31, and we re-pulled it on September 21. The set did release on September 16, and fifteen of its singles carry a mark on both ends of this week. A presale mark on a single card is not describing a price, and twelve of those fifteen lost more than half their mark the day after release.

Where the five open calls stood this week

None of the five open calls has reached its review date. This column doesn't grade a call before its horizon. The interim reads still belong in public, and two of them moved a long way in the seven days since the set released.

Call 1 rests on three Journey Together products and is due on September 30. The piece on what pulled the Journey Together booster box down through August left that box at $249.74, and it marks $236.80 today. The elite trainer box reads $138.27 against a $137.61 start, and the bundle $46.04 against $46.00. All three legs track the call, with nine days left.

Call 2 asked the 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection [Day] to mark below $599.04 on October 15. It ran against us for three straight weeks and has now crossed the line. The product marked $562.65 on September 21, which is $36.39 below the line, after sitting above it on every reading taken between September 2 and September 16.

That turn landed on release day rather than on any of the twenty days before it. The mark held $603.88 on September 16 and read $556.39 on September 17. The collection itself does not ship until November 6 of 2026, so what re-priced on that day was the market's reading of the cards inside it.

Call 3 asks for fewer than 30% of the Mega Evolution era rows on our board to be up on the week. Our first count of how badly that era was trailing everything else put it at 18.5% in early September. It reads 11.5% today across 209 rows. The rest of the board ran 24.4% up over the same week.

Call 4 asks the ten 30th Celebration mini tins to average below $52.00 on October 26. Their unweighted mean was $59.52 on September 14 and stands at $52.84 today, a fall of 11.2% in a week. Five weeks remain before that call is due. The tins now have to hold roughly where a single week has already taken them.

Call 5 belongs to another column and is not due until November 25. The working that weighed PSA's new $59.99 tier against a Charizard VMAX SV107 read that tier live on September 16 and told a reader to hold the nine until the trailing rate clears 75%. That call turns on monthly grading windows, so nothing can resolve it before late November.

Pokemon presale card prices, and what release day did to them

Fifteen 30th Celebration singles cleared our screen on September 21, and every one of them fell. The shallowest fall was 71.5% on Jirachi ex 155/128 and the deepest was 96.1% on Pikachu 027/128. Their average mark went from $289.74 to $27.43 in seven days, a drop of 90.5%.

That fall did not build across the week. Twelve of the fifteen lost more than half their mark between September 16 and September 17, and the other three carried no mark at all on the seventeenth. Mew ex 158/128 held $1,808.25 on September 16 and marked $157.94 the next day. Rayquaza EX, in the separate Classic Collection group, went from $299.00 on September 16 to $25.48 on September 17.

Every one of them carried a presale flag in the feed until September 16. A presale listing is an asking price for a card nobody can own yet, because every pack holding it is still sealed. A mark built out of those listings therefore has no completed sale underneath it, and it moves only when a seller changes an ask.

Once packs open, a real supply of each card exists and real sales start arriving. Our daily list of screened price moves then reads a market rather than a queue of asking prices. That is a cause and not a count, so it is hedged.

The sealed half of the same set went both ways

Twenty nine sealed 30th Celebration products cleared the same screen, and ten of them rose. The international Sylveon ex tin gained 21.7% and the booster bundle gained 14.5%. Neither of those has shipped yet, because the catalog feed dates the tin to December 4 and the bundle to October 2.

Eight sealed products did come off presale on September 16, and six of those fell. The Pokemon Center elite trainer box lost 31.3% and the poster collection case 29.3%. That 31.3% is the deepest sealed fall of the week, and it is under half the shallowest single fall, which was 71.5%.

A sealed box carries a printed contents list and a recommended price before anybody opens one, so a preorder listing on it has something real to anchor against. A single card has neither of those anchors. The sealed index this site keeps re-reads the same products on every rebuild of this page.

Call 6, and the mark that breaks it

Every Market Read leaves one dated call behind it. Call 6, made on September 21 of 2026, is that the 30th Celebration Booster Bundle marks below $100.00 when we re-pull on October 19. It reads $123.53 today and ships on October 2. Seventeen days of real sales run through it before the re-pull.

The bundle has risen for three weeks on listings that cannot ship, from $90.00 on August 31 to $123.53 on September 21. The four deepest sealed falls in this set after release ran from 16.8% to 31.3%, so a drop to $100.00, which is 19.0% from today's mark, sits inside that range and not beyond it.

A mark of $100.00 or higher on October 19 makes the call wrong, and this column will print it wrong. If the product carries no aggregate mark that day, the call is recorded unverifiable. The plain weakness is thin allocation, which can hold a small sealed unit above its preorder mark for months.

None of this is advice about what to buy. The page describing what an aggregate mark on this site is counting carries the limits on every figure above. A restock or an allocation decision never reaches a price feed at all.
