30th Celebration Preorder Prices: 28 of 32 Fell

"The plain expectation for September is that the elite trainer box and the bundle keep holding while the booster box settles somewhere under its August level". Card Talk ran that on August 28 of 2026, and we re-pulled it on August 31. The 30th Celebration figures topping and tailing our movers board are preorder marks rather than prices, because the set does not release until September 16 of 2026.

Where the September call stands

That call runs to the end of September, so it is not yet due. This column does not grade a call before its horizon. The three day re-pull is still worth printing. Two of its three legs already move the way the call named.

The sealed reading of the Journey Together booster box decline left the box marked at $249.74 on August 28. It was marked at $237.87 on August 31, and the elite trainer box rose from $137.61 to $139.74. The bundle is the leg under strain, easing from $46.00 to $44.36 over the same three readings that carried the box down, which makes it the only leg out of step so far. A move that size does not fail the call by itself.

The full grade lands after September 30 of 2026, against numbers re-pulled in that week. The sealed product index carries the booster box at $237.87 and the elite trainer box at $139.74 on every rebuild of this page.

What the 30th Celebration preorder prices did

Our tracker screened 2,999 price moves for the week ending August 31 and passed 606. The largest gainer on that screened list is the 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection [Day] at $599.04. Near the other end sits the 30th Celebration ex Tin holding Sylveon ex at $58.68. One rose 47.5% on the week and the other fell 39.3%, and both come from one set with one release date.

That set reaches shelves on September 16 of 2026. Pokemon.com gives the date as a simultaneous worldwide release. TCGplayer's catalog feed records the same date against the group these products sit in, so we hold it twice. No collector has opened a pack from it, and no card in it has reached a population report.

Across the whole line the direction of travel is not close. Our snapshots carried 32 of these products on both August 8 and August 31, and 28 of them fell. Four rose, and the Ultra Premium Collection [Night] running from $550.74 to $657.99 is the largest in dollars. The Binder Collection went from $68.60 to $80.84 over the same window.

The falls run through the cheaper end of the line, where the mini tins sit. Six mini tins carried a mark on both of those dates, and every single one of them lost ground over the window. The shallowest fall was 18.1% on the Mewtwo tin, the deepest 32.5% on the Day Pikachu tin. The ex Tin holding Sylveon ex opened at $144.10 and closed at $58.68, second only to a sticker collection that lost 62.3%.

One set cannot be in demand and out of favour on the same afternoon. The split is describing sellers rather than collectors, and sellers probably repriced the premium boxes as more of the contents became known, while the tins carried no news of their own. That's a cause and it is hedged for that reason, because the daily movers board counts listings rather than motives, and a listing never says why it changed. The same habit runs through the Tag Team GX population nobody opened.
